  • Change the game up each time with a wide variety of back and forth arrows (similar to a game of snakes and ladders).

  • This game is perfect for a full classroom using a projector or interactive board, and it can also be played online or with just a laptop and a student or two.

  • Get started instantly! Load the game and begin playing—no prep necessary.

  • Play as often as you like! With completely random results, every game is a fresh experience.

How to Play Volcano Escape

  • Choose any optional rules that you'd like to implement when playing the game.

  • Start the game by moving one game piece to the start space for each team that will play.

  • Determine play order: will teams go one by one or will they all play at the same time and compete to answer questions?

  • Ask a question.

  • The team that answers rolls the dice.  Move that team's token equal to the number of spaces revealed.

  • If the piece stops on a space with an arrow, follow the arrow to its destination (either gaining ground or losing it).

  • Repeat until a team reaches the escape boat.

  • Click win.  Choose the team that won.  The volcano erupts and the winning team escapes.

Game Modes Available in Volcano Escape

Team Mode: Teams compete to answer questions and escape the island before the volcano explodes.  There's only room for one team to escape on the boat so they must be fast!

Optional Family Team Mode: Select how many of a team's token must reach the boat for that team to win.  The pieces represent a team's family.  The entire family must escape to win.  For a longer game, you can select a higher amount of pieces.  For a normal game, simply select one piece.

Optional Arrows On/Off Team Mode: The arrow indicators can be customized to fit your needs for the game.  There are several different layouts that you can choose from.  This also includes turning them off completely as well as randomizing them with every roll of the dice.  Things can get pretty crazy with these arrows!
